Gutter press is a wonderful thing. It deviates from the proven facts. Oops that should have been in CAPITALS.. Why do you still wish to engage in conversation with members of a CULT? Without having first provided provenance that it is a proven fact we are a cult.

Ah Roy!! I knew TTT was someone famous. I'm happy to be wrong on this one. I'm going to buy Roy's book. HOPEFULLY I'LL ENJOY IT You will not enjoy it, for it does not follow the party line that Brushy could have been BtK.
Morrison did not write that Oliver P Roberts died about 1910, or that Brushy assumed his name. That malarkey is nothing more than an assumption by the cult that is necessary to explain Oliver Roberts in the 1920 and 1930 census, WWI draft registration of Oliver P Roberts, and the marriage of Oliver Roberts and Mollie Brown.

I'm open to enjoying all books. How do you know I will not enjoy the book? Is my future lack of enjoyment a proven fact, hearsay or an assumption?

And your posts are why new members and visitors don't get involved in conversations on this forum. New people find this forum very intimidating. Thanks for your replies. Hopefully I'm worth the effort. Yours sincerely Dan Johnston. Alias Brushy Cult team member.

Hopefully I'm worth the effort. Yours sincerely Dan Johnston. Alias Brushy Cult team member. Jesse Woodson James, another famous western character, attracts far more pretenders than Billy the Kid. There have been at least 10 men who have claimed to be, or been promoted as, Jesse Woodson James, including a U S Senator and a Yankee bugle blower. J Frank Dalton, Brushy Bill's friend, is the most elusive. No record of him prior to the 1930 census.

Jesse James married his own cousin. I have no interest in Jesse James. My interest in Billy came from comparing him to Ned Kelly. Ned was a brave man who did a lot for poor people. Nobody but Ned ever claimed to be Ned. Ned's remains were dug up just a few years ago. Maybe I should go back to reading about Ned. There's too much corruption and protection of legacy and reputation with this Billy the kid scene.

Sorry I don't bring anything to the table. I just really enjoy being a part of the forum. But I understand and I don't want to be around if people don't want me here. Sorry if I haven't contributed anything meaningful.

I think my best contribution to the forum was definitely the Oat Garrett name change. Even though it wasn't me who first used the name it was me that popularised the name. It's an achievement I'm very proud of.🤣
