DISCLAIMER: No verifiable record has been found of any event in the life of J. Frank Dalton, or any story that J. Frank Dalton told, prior to 1930.
Ola’s unpublished manuscript, Page 93. “In 1910, Jesse went to Torreon, Mexico, and lived for about two years. Torreon is in the northern part of old Mexico, in the interior. Uncle Jesse told me (Ola), he and Brushy Bill, who was the REAL Billy the Kid, was neighbors down there in Torreon. He lived across the street from my place and, down the street not far from us lived Luz Villa, one of Pancho Villa’s wives or ex-wives. Bill was well liked and could have run for office and won if he’d had any education, but he didn’t and that held him back. On July 1, 1948, Jesse was staying in the Lone Hotel in Guthrie, Oklahoma. and had been for nine or ten days and on July 7, 1948, Brushy Bill Roberts, 82 years old, former scout and Indian fighter arrived in Guthrie to see Jesse. He said he’d known Jesse for 78 years. His father Al “‘Wild Henry’ Roberts was present to identify the body after Charlie Bigelow, who was going under the name of Jesse Howard, was shot and killed. ‘He came home and told us all about it’, said Brushy Bill and said, ‘he identified Bigelow as Jesse James. He said Jesse’s mother knew it wasn’t her son, but claimed it was, to help Jesse get away.”
NOTE: Ola’s stated objective was to prove that J. Frank Dalton was Jesse James. She mistakenly believed that his mother and her great great grandmother were sisters. No footnotes, no sources, no way to tell if statements attributed to J. Frank Dalton are his or Ola's.

The letter from Morrison to Everhard I believe was Morrison's attempt to help gather evidence for Brushy, the article nmjames helped me find (for another post)written by Van Craddock, he happened to write in that article that Brushy appeared before New Mexico Gov. Thomas Mabry presenting a 17-page brief and 22 documents as evidence that he really was the Kid, I believe Morrison helped gather these documents for Brushy to help him get his pardon, that letter is an awesome find, the description of the teeth adds credence that there was teeth in a jar found. I believe the letter showed Morrison believed Brushy and attempted to do what he could to help him get his pardon
