Well its apearantly completely untrustworty if the tests arent blinded according to this guy, and he seems to know what he is talking about. DNA as evidence is bogus imo, just take a look at "Making a Murderer" on Netflix. They just apply the suspects DNA to the crime scene and there you have it. That says a lot about our society when something like that can be revealed without having any impact at all on the practice of forensic evidence.

If J.Frank Dalton attended the funeral and burial of Jesse James -it would have turned the ruse into a farce ..everyone would have known it wasn't Jesse in the coffin and that he still walked the earth - but to see him among the mourners must have removed any doubt what was expected of them .... At least Brushy had the decency not to show up at his own funeral -despite a little grumbling about a beard and dark complextion reaching the newspapers....everyone present at the shooting and burial of BTK knew what was expected of them - and if they weren't a fan of BTK then they would get the message from the grave side presence of Pat Garrett solemnly burying the man he had shot and attested to two coroners' jurys was- in fact- W H Bonney....

There's something in the Vincel / Barbie Simmons story re Jesse James surviving and using the alias J Frank Dalton, however, that J Frank Dalton died, and the one we all know about was another fella impersonating the original! Dig the bones out of that if you can.

I’m interested as to why J Frank Dalton’s name is listed along with Jesse James name on a roster list of Quantrill’s members, and the two are listed separately, I wondered if the two would be listed separately if they were both the same person? Interestingly the list shows Dalton was with Quantrill’s unit and Jesse Woodson James is listed as being in Anderson’s unit, it also states J Frank Dalton claimed to have joined on March 8, 1863 at age 15 on that particular list, I’m not exactly sure when the exact age Jesse James was when he joined Quantrill’s? I have found one reference that he was 16 but I’m not sure of that accuracy? The two names listed as fighting under two different units on a Quantrill’s member list wouldn’t make sense if the two were the same person, and of course if that list is accurate.

Perhaps he was a member of both units but under two different names? There could be some reason for that and even though it seems strange its certainly not impossible.

That may be a possibility as long as the timeline didn’t conflict with the other. I don’t know when Jesse James started using aliases, I’m wondering if 15 years old was a little early for him to start?

If youre going to hide your identity by taking on aliases, you may as well start early?

Yes they certainly would get the message. Persons may have gone along with the story for various reasons of course, to protect Garrett for some and to aid Billys escape for others. For some it may well have been fear that kept them in line. Others did not keep their mouths shut but their stories didnt fit the official narrative, and so they were disregarded in the books of history. Perhaps that is about to change. The ability to create and maintain narratives is a powerful tool indeed.

Whereas BTK had no family - he relied on the good will and love of the people he befriended...he wasn't a killing machine from the darkest days of the Civil War like the James brothers, Wild Bill, and Clay Allison...

BTK did have 3 things in common with Allison ---they both made a living as cowboys ( Clay had worked for Loving and Goodnight) - they both repaid agents of the Sante Fe Ring in kind after they had murdered their friends - both men were a focus of power and action without seeking leadership of any cause or faction - and they had simular skills ... both were equally capable escape artists as well as "Shootists" (Clay escaped execution by the Union Army)

The one thing I did not like about Clay is that he was a racist, the ring knew about it and they even tried to trap him with black soldiers waiting for him at a saloon as they knew he would open fire on them, someone warned him before he showed up. Beside that he was a major player in Colfax, if he had not been there things would gotten lot worse

Beside that he was a major player in Colfax, if he had not been there things would gotten lot worse Yes-like his Civil War boss General Forrest- Clay Allison had a violent and independent disposition whereby they both threatened superior officers...both were racists and participated in the Fort Pillow massacre - the reason the Union Army wanted to execute Clay....he had fought Indian renegades and Hispanics as well as Buffalo soldiers on a far larger scale than BTK ..who athough he didn't have much respect for Indians ( according to Siringo) yet had a loyal Navajo girlfriend - Deluvina Maxwell.

This is supposedly the daughter of Jesse James. Looks like she could be related to Frank Dalton when considering facial features Id say. Similar eyes and nose?

Its interesting how Dalton goes into detail here about a lot of stuff. Now this article was published in 1940 and Dalton says in it he himself was an uncle to the Dalton brothers and a cousin to the James brothers. Still his age is given as 92 years which would mean he would have been born around 1848. This is consistent with what he would claim later on when coming out as being Jesse James. So whats the most probable scenario here? Was Dalton planning the whole thing already at this time? Did he plant this birth year information as part of some scheme to make the claim of being Jesse 9 years later? Or is it in fact more likely he told the truth about his age at this point?
