Facts on Fort Sumner:
Deluvina in her own words said she wasn't even there until the next day ☒
-Yet the official narrative says she was
Paco says he was a pallbearer, etc ☒
- Said that numerous people came to the porch because they heard the shots at 8 o'clock at night and said everybody was scared to go into the dark bedroom and Deluvina identifies the body; Paco's account on the jailbreak from Lincoln was completely different from everybody else's account. Paco clearly made up the story, as he claimed, the kid shoved a knife up his rectum and whittled a key to get out of the cuffs when even skeptics admit The Kid slipped out of handcuffs. When one reads multiple accounts from Paco it's clear he exaggerated or lied about multiple things, therefore destroying his credibility.
Domingo says he did not make the coffin, see the body, and wasn't even in Fort Sumner ☒
-Yet the official narrative says he was
Vicente (cousin of the other Vicente) said he was visiting Fort Sumner and saw The Kid before and after death and worked for Chisum; claimed that Garrett would not let him into the bedroom the next morning but saw Billy The Kid was on the bed dead and claimed that Billy The Kid wrote a letter to Pete saying he had intentions of marrying Paulita. ☒
-He never heard the shots and was unaware anything had even happened until the next morning. If Garrett tried to block the door how did he positively identify the body? He even mentions Roberts saying he refused to meet him because he was certain The Kid died in Fort Sumner.
Jesus Silva (1938) claims The Kid was killed with a Winchester 44-40 rifle; the article claims Deluvina dressed The Kid for burial, but Paco claimed he did. Silva, Paco, and several others all claimed to have had the last conversation with The Kid and Silva claimed he was the first one in the room and put it on a long table in the hallway and then took him to the carpenter shop for a wake. Claims the inquest happened after the body was moved. Claimed he was the chief pallbearer. Claimed Vicente dug the grave. ☒
Jesus Silva (1936) claimed Billy The Kid and "Billy Wilson" and some guy called "Butcher" was going to kill some man named Barney in Fort Sumner. An extremely sensational story claiming he was in the orchard with Billy and Garrett didn't shoot at that moment because Silva was there. Silva claims he was the one with the beef not Maxwell. Claims nobody was on the porch. Says Garrett was laying in wait in the bedroom with Pete, and that Billy walked through the entire house before getting to that room. Garrett took the guns. Pete Maxwell told him to go home. Silva rode 10 miles to get the justice of the peace in the morning. ☒
-All of these eyewitnesses tell remarkably contrasting stories. It's all extremely suspicious.
Frank Lobato claimed to be there ☒
-Later on admits he wasn't but his mother was
Garrett, Poe, Silva, etc all gave conflicting times between 8pm through 12 midnight of when The Kid was killed. Garrett claimed he spent $25 of his own money for the burial clothes. If the coffin was made, body cleaned and dressed, grave dug, jury all made, and body buried before 10am then it begs the question, "Did the wake even happen at all?" because we're looking at a four hour span of time all of this was done. 20 miles on a horse to get the JP on horseback itself would've taken 3 or 4 hours itself. ☒
Successful conspiracies require small numbers of people (1 is best, more than 1 starts to unravel) and what's happened here in Fort Sumner was some kind of conspiracy because nobody agrees on anything.
