I recently acquired this glossy photo postcard on an auction, its of a scene inside the Orient Saloon at Bisbee Arizona. I don’t know the exact age of the postcard, however I’v seen this photo online before, but I have never seen the man pointed out as Jesse James before. The arrow with the Jesse James writing does not look to have been added or written on later, but looks to have been put on when the postcard was made? Jesse James was supposedly killed in 1882, so this may be Dalton since the photo is believed to have been taken around 1900. It’s a bit of a mystery and that’s what prompted me to aquire it. I guess because I love mysteries. It says there’s Tony Downs, Dutch Kid, Sleepy Dick, Charlie Bassett, Johnny Murphy, and Smiley Lewis also present in the photo. I never heard of these men, maybe some of you on the board has? I always liked this picture. I always thought the young man dealing looked like Billy the Kid. The top corner is hard to read, but I can make out a little. I believe it says The Orient Saloon, Bisbee Arizona 1903 or 1905? (Hard to tell) a faro game running full blast, Old Timers say ? ? Good days gone forever

Good days gone forever That's a very interesting picture. It could very well be Dalton, which might fit into my theory that Francis Dunn thought Dalton was Jesse James, because if the mustachioed man is Dalton then it means he was claiming to be Jesse James far earlier than people thought. Only way to know is to research the Orient Saloon, Bisbee Arizona, and see if names like "Darby" or "Dolby" or "Howk" was around that general area in 1900. Jesus Christ Almighty God bless you all

I don’t know how old the postcard is? I think it could be a reprint and not as old as the photo printed on it. The back of it looks like a regular postcard, it’s blank, not addressed. It’s puzzling why Jesse James is on there? Is there any chance maybe that the photo could be misdated and really be older than 1903 or 1905? Could it have been taken before Jesse James was killed? I’m not an expert at dating photos. Iv seen several of this historical photo online and they all have it dated in 1903. It’s hard to really tell if he looks like Dalton. Maybe there’s a clearer photo of it?
