Just bought it on ebay, looks like the life of Bill Wilson. Cant wait to see what he had to say about the Kid. Feel free to comment if you read it already.

Lavash seems to be in short supply. Lavash seems to believe that Billy Wilson (1862-1918) was someone other than David L. Anderson: www.findagrave.com/memorial/39115666/david-l-andersonTake a look at the two tombstones for William H. Bonney and David L. Anderson. Notice that both men were born on 23 November 1860? Could it be that Pat Garrett could have been confused with their birth dates, or perhaps even used Billy Wilson's birth date for the Kid's, in his 1882 book? If you read "Trailing Billy the Kid" by Philip Rasch, you may conclude that he was convinced that Billy Wilson was born in Ohio as David L. Anderson. If you research it further, you will see that David L. Anderson had a brother whose name included "Wilson". Just a coincidence?

Another good one, the only thing is that I still dont know who Billy Wilson was... Robert Levi Martin or D.L.Anderson? Pat Garrett identified him as Anderson, but he was seen in many places when he was supposed to be in Texas only( people who knew him said that he always worked on ranches between 1881 and 1896). Apparently he reunited with Rudabaugh in Mexico before the latter got killed. Was there any proof found that Anderson and Wilson were the same person? The author seemed pretty conviced that they were not

Anderson was born in Ohio and had brothers named William Anderson and Wilson Anderson. Pat Garrett identified Billy Wilson as David L. Anderson. There are some newspaper articles during the 1880s that also state that "Billy Wilson" was from Ohio. Note that on his tombstone, Anderson's birth date was 23 November 1860; the same date that is on the tombstone for Billy the Kid in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. How interesting?

Seeing the names of his brothers its kinda clear who he really was. I was blind not seeing it, Garrett's words were not enough for me, thank you for clearing that up for me Elwood.
