William Koch recently acquired the one-of-a-kind iconic tintype image of Billy the Kid for $2.3 million at an Old West memorabilia auction. William, and his brother David, are each reported to be worth around $22 billion. It will be interesting to see if William will make his historic purchase accessible to the public or not. m.cnn.com/primary/_X0UKBh-iWcNJ8BBl5

All I can say is "Wow!". Billy's legend goes on. Do you think he would have paid as much if he'd known there were dozens of pictures of Billy in later life? Maybe that's why there's so much opposition to accepting Brushy's claim! The all powerful dollar?

Everyone is forever focussed on the single tintype, and the "Paul Bunyan"-style legend of the Kid's exploits and demise.
