Can you tell me what a "double roll" is. Hough said that Jesse Evans was a polished six-shooter artist given to practicing the dangerous double roll as he rode along.

I did find a picture of Jesse Evans on the Internet that was taken in 1910 in White Oaks where he is standing between 2 deer that had been killed. Perhaps he really did not disappear - he probably was living somewhere in New Mexico.

s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/a9/b4/be/a9b4be61532f9bb5dbe282e825ab6cd6.jpg This may not work and I have tried to copy and paste and it does not work If you look on Pinterest and type in Jesse Evana 1910 White Oaks it will come up. It is part of the Jay McCarey Collection and it seems to have been verified already. Please let me know if you have trouble. I have written several of the LaLone relatives to see if I can find out more information.

Interesting picture. Has in been verified as the Jesse Evans from the Lincoln county war or is it someone else with the same name?

Had a quick look at some pictures in that collection. I would not put too much stock in it as a lot of those pics are not the people they say they are.
