I have read that Mr. Garrett and William Antrim met in Colorado in April 1882. Their meeting lasted 2 hours and they shook hands at the end. Mr. Antrim later said that he had a better understanding of what happened. What was he told? Has there ever been any information on that?

Molly:
Billy The Kid's Brother (Different papers on August 5, 1882)
Albuquerque, N.M., Aug. 4, 1882 - Joseph Antrim, a half brother of Billy the Kid, has been here nearly two weeks. When his brother was killed by Pat Garrett, sheriff of Lincoln county, a statement was published in the Trinidad papers that Antrim had taken an oath to kill his brother's slayer on sight. Garrett arrived last night, and being apprised of Antrim's presence, prepared for the attack. The two met in the billiard room of the Armidjo Hotel. Antrim called Garrett aside, and the two talked earnestly together for some time. The rooms were crowded, and on-lookers expected a tragedy. Antrim denied that he had ever made such a threat, and told Garrett that he thought the killing justifiable. The two shook hands and parted friends.

Very interesting that he was referred to as a half-brother.
