It's possible. I heard someone say once that he thought it was Frank Mcnabb and not Tom Folliard.

Montanas, I believe your guess that its not Tom O folliard may be correct because Tom had a kinda nickname, he was called "Bigfoot Tom", I assume he had big feet, and I dont know where i read it Ill have to try and research it but I remember reading that Tom O Folliard was 6 ft tall, in that photo he doesnt look to have big feet? Im not sure if the 6ft height is correct or not? I dont understand how a definate facial comparison could be made because the supposed Tom is looking sideways?, they seemed so sure it was him though in the documentary about the photo, the photo of Walter Chisum does favor the supposed Tom to me also.

Frank Coe said that Thomas O'Folliard (Folliard) was more than six feet tall. You can find this in the book, Billy the Kid, A Short and Violent Life by Robert Utley, page 89. I have also found it in other places. I don't think the young man in the picture is six feet tall.
As for Frank McNab, I don't think it would be him because he was killed April 29, 1878 before the picture was said to have been taken.
If you can find the True West Magazine, Feb. 2016, it has a good article on the picture.

There's a guy on youtube that says this photo is fake. some of his ideas are crazy i think but when he talks about inverting the colors and stuff i think it made sense. I like the picture of the Kid but to me personally that photo does not mean anything. There was no evidence for it.

I found another reference to Tom O Folliard height, Emerson Hough wrote that Tom O Folliard was of Medium height and dark complected, Emerson Hough was friends with Pat Garrett and rode with him on occasion, Tom doesn't look to me to be dark complected in his photo but the lighting in those tintypes could maybe lend a factor to that?

I ran across another reference of a description of Tom O’Folliard by a man named Frank Collinson in the Amarillo Sunday News-Globe, August 14, 1938 who claimed he ran into Billy the Kid’s camp right after the shootout with Buckshot Roberts he described Tom O’Folliard as being well over 6’ft tall and weighing up to 200 lbs and just as noisy as he is big. Brushy also said Tom was a Big Fellow.
