Never believed in Brushy but found that interesting. I just can’t understand how if that is Brushy how he appears so different in the tintype.

I wish I could see what others see. But I don't think Brushy looks like the tin type at all. The pics above look like 2 separate people. Doesn't mean I don't believe Brushy's story. Means if Brushy was Billy, then Garrett, Paulita and Dedrick had a tintype of a different person they said was BTK to hid Brushy's identity. /takes tinfoil hat off...

TBF, a lot of people have similar, the '11s' between the eyes. Can be brought on quicker by squinting in the sun, which I'm sure happened a lot back then.

That image on the left, the Dedrick tintype, is a reverse image and I'm pretty sure the pic of young Brushy is not. If you flip the tintype image to its correct view, the eyes match up much better. Also, the version of the tintype you have posted above is an AI enhanced picture. The technology is pretty amazing but it doesn't guarantee the result is exactly correct. I believe the earlobes are all wrong in this tintype enhancement. Other obvious differences as in, closed mouth vs. open mouth, hat vs. no hat, squinting vs. no squint, and age difference may also account for a great deal. If you compare facial distances and shapes between the two with the correct orientation, these two images actually match up almost perfectly. Check out my comparison of that photo at the bottom of this page on my webpage. musicpla9.wixsite.com/searchingforthekid/other-photosWhile there, be sure to click "The Tintype" link at the top of the page and follow through how I did my comparisons.

Yea I don't see it. Even if the facial features line up. Doesn't look like the same man at all to me. Also, young Brushy looks like he comes from a mexican blood line. Where BTK was said to have light hair and from an Irish blood line.

Different people see different things. I agree they appear different at first glance and that gives me pause. But at the same time there are a number of photos of individuals out there that other people see at first glance and react with "oh, that looks like BTK" even though the facial dimensions do not match up at all. And of all those photos, none of them match the tintype as well as Brushy's does. Paulina Maxwell saw the tintype in question and said it was Billy but did not "do him justice". Lighting, angles, type of cameras, and other factors can affect the "recognizability" along with circumstances. What kind of conditions surround the tintype photo? I suspect he was very tired, hungry, and fatigued when the tintype was made.
As for hair color and descent, that description of his hair being light probably came from a Mexican who was use to everyone's hair being pretty much black. It is quite obvious in the tintype itself, that Billy did not have "light" hair. As for Irish vs. Mexican, who is to say what a person of mixed descent is going to look like. Having Irish blood on one side of the family from a couple generations back does not necessarily mean a person will have extra light skin and red hair. I disagree with that logic. And besides, if Brushy was not BTK then he was almost definitely not Mexican either. Oliver Pleasant Roberts ancestry was from Arkansas and Kentucky.
