And as an addendum, that image is a 66% match to the reverse tintype on one comparison test.

Your right Cassandra Jane , there are some people that don’t look their age at all, and William Shatner is a great example, he aged gracefully, people like him can fool a person for sure. I think Brushy aged gracefully. I was wondering if a mustache might could add a little age to him, so out of curiosity I colored in a mustache on the fellow to see if it would make a difference? Cleaned up the original photo and honestly this site is amazing, but requires a subscription I can’t yet afford 🤦♀️ <button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> Thank You Cassandra Jane for cleaning that up, and what a great job it did, the eyes look to be close to the color of Brushy’s, but a 66% match isn’t that close.

I agree. It's better than 50% but certainly not strong enough to be wholly convincing. Can't rule out the possibility that Brushy may have been the secret lovechild of Billy and whichever Ft. Sumner-adjacent lady it was (though I don't buy the Ollie Roberts' dad as Billy theory). I did also do a clean-up of the Joe Antrim picture too, and by the looks of it, he shares the partial heterochromia gene that Billy/Brushy have. I'll link that in a second.

Every picture of Brushy with a bandanna; the bandanna was tied the same way.

Every picture of Brushy with a bandanna; the bandanna was tied the same way. Good observation, and Welcome to the board Red, I looked at some of Brushy’s pics and also see what you mean his bandana does look to be tied similar in them, I also noticed in a few of them that Brushy used a decorative clip to tie his bandana together with, I had a tough time looking at Billy the Kid’s famous photo to see how he tied his bandana together, because the photo was not clear in many, but I finally managed to find a clear enough image of it and Wow 😮 it’s possible Billy could also have used a decorative clip to hold his bandana together like Brushy? What looks like a clip could just be a design on the bandana fabric in Billy’s photo, but it also looks like it could be a bandana clip with a similar type of round design like the one Brushy is wearing in one of his photos too, the first photo below of Brushy’s clip compared with the possible clip in Billy’s photo

Just pointing out, regardless of whether it’s Brushy in the photo or not - William Shatner is in his 90s now but doesn’t look anything like it. Peter Pan is about 120 years old but doesn't look a day over 12...really? If that's brushy you've all shot yourselves in the foot and proved that the old boy was about as genuine as Mr Pan. First time I've ever seen BTK mentioned in the same sentence as star trek..truly amazing. That's why he was called the Kid Leeb..... "

Maybe an enhanced more clearer close up of that scarf or bandana clip or whatever you call it,(I was told it was called a scarf slide) it may can show if Billy is really wearing one and if so how similar it is to Brushy’s because if Billy is wearing one the odds that it can be the same design or look like Brushy’s could be astronomical? I haven’t seen it in any other Billy photo copies online maybe this particular one was clear enough to show it or it’s a flaw or material design in the scarf? I’m wondering if Brushy’s slide clip may be a unique design?

Missy s. If you own Dan Edwards book. 2 cowboys are identified as William Wood. Pages 88-89. The one with the mustache ties his bandanna the same way.
