What if John Miller and Brushy are actually related? Thoughts? What if Brushy is actually Billy Barlow?

In the book Whatever Happened to Billy the Kid about John Miller someone mentions something like Miller couldn't speak Spanish but they saw him talking to a shorter man that could have been Billy the Kid. The shorter man could have been Brushy and I think it said that man could speak Spanish.
Brushy knew things that Barlow or a Billy impostor would not have known.

Thanks for the response. In another part of the same book; it said Miller could speak Spanish and some Indian dialects. The part you referenced said a big guy and small guy use to visit Miller; with the person interviewed believing the smaller man was actually Billy the Kid. Brushy referenced a half brother originally to Morrison. I am suggesting that half brother was Miller. Not saying Miller was the Kid.

Yeah, it's all been pondered before but hard to go anywhere with a lot of things. When Brushy said his brother was Billy and still living in Mexico it reminded of a youtube video that is no longer available. Back in 2008 there was a youtube video and this guy on a motorcycle was touring Ft. Sumner and out on a porch there was an old timer and he was a Hispanic, maybe a Salazar or something and he told the guy with the camera that Billy died in a town in Mexico but that he lived long after 1881 and the town I remember started with a P and I'm almost certain it was Perral, I had looked it up at the time and he said Billy was in love with his grandmother and had sent her many letters but when asked where the letters were he said his grandpa was jealous and destroyed all the letters. But for me Brushy had too much in common with the Kid and knew to much to even be a half brother, brother, or someone who was just around at the time so I don't worry about that stuff too much anymore. The handwriting really does it for me. But.... as you can see down below he has a lot of similarities with the Kid's writing however you might be interested in what he said, which still leaves open the possibility that Billy the Kid was someone he knew except Miller was dead at the time he wrote this and I think he was just referring to himself and not wanting to blow his cover yet. Don't quote me on this but if I remember correctly someone that actually saw his letters to Morrison said Brushy was still referring to Billy as another person even after he told Morrison in person that he himself was Billy, so he was probably worried about evidence that might get him in trouble.
Gale Cooper's book Writing's, Words, and Wits proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that Billy wrote all of his own letters. On pages 194-198 she points out that Billy made many errors while writing that help us determine whether or not it is handwriting or not. 1. he often doesn't capitalize the first letter of a sentence. 2.! He will often capitalize Words that should not be capitalized! 3. He mispellls words. 4. He often omitted periods at the end of a sentence A Letter from Brushy Bill to Uncle Kit (supposedly he claimed to be Carson's nephew and not the real Carson) The letter is dated April, 1 1949. It is reproduced exactly as it was written meaning no typos corrected. Dear uncle kit Carson...dad we heard from Billie the Kid he is doing fine We are Looking for him to come home he will stay with us 2 weeks thin he Will go over sea for 3 years dad I will do my best to get Billie the Kid to come By and see you...Love and Best wishes to you from your son OL Roberts. These same characteristics are found in Brushy's other letters. Gale also discovered a new authenticated letter that is signed Billie. Brushy also signed his letters Billie. Not spelled Billy but Billie. And their signatures are nearly identical.

It's really hard to talk about sometimes because I know there are lots of people that have and wont share or share but u cant tell. I do trust Daniel A Edwards but he will be limited on what he can actually share. It is really crazy. I do not trust other authors the same way but ...if you got another 30 years left I think you will see a dna test on O P Roberts and we will see if he was the son of Henry or Sarah or not. Right now it seems like Roy Haws is making money and he wont talk about it

In Edwards book he tries to show 2 cowboys that he thinks could be Brushy. The cowboy on page 88-89 with his fingers in his pants looks more like Brushy than the 2 he is trying to sell. The name on the cowboy is William Wood. I think the truth will come out when there is no more money to be made.
