That may be true as well. I don't know. But still that doesn't prove anything about Brushy's voracity.

"Let's not forget that if it wasn't for a 33 year old film that was released then Oliver's story would have fell by the wayside." That may or may not be true but either way it doesn't prove anything about the voracity of Brushy's claim. You could also say that if were not for social media like this board and the various Facebook pages, the story would have been forgotten. But that isn't really the point. The producers of the movie you're referring to "did" know about Brushy and the story has become much more widely known because of that. No argument there. But even if the story had been forgotten, it would not have meant it was a lie. Fair play

I stand corrected. "Veracity" is the word I intended.

I've only just found this site to-day, an interesting read. If I were to escape a hanging I'd definitely not want to advertise the fact that I'm alive and well, living wherever. Ronald Biggs (UK Great Train Robbery) and the 3 who got out of Alcatraz come to mind. So I can accept that BTK used any number of aliases. I'm 80 yrs old myself, so Young Guns 1 & 2 are irrelevant. I'm inclined to accept Brushy Bill's claim.
