I stumbled across this awesome informative article about Pancho Villa. It’s very interesting since Brushy Bill discussed being associated with Pancho Villa. And Brushy is mentioned. I want to add that I don’t know when this article was made? It’s part of the M Parlee collection 1945-2000 texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc2016405/m1/1/

MissyS. This all has to do with Jesse James Was One of His Names by Del Schrader published in 1975. If you look at who wrote the article you posted, you will see Del Schrader. You can also type in Jesse James Was One Of His Names: Del Schrader and find the book on Archives.
I hope this helps.
Good find!

Hi nmjames, Thank You for pointing that out, I didn’t know this was in a book. It’s strange because when I clicked on more information about it to view a full description of the clipping, it described it as a Herald-Examiner article titled "Raul Chavez Dies At 82; Pancho Villa Aide." So I assumed it was a clipping from a newspaper? It looked kinda weathered with age like a newspaper and drawn on, it didn’t indicate it was from a book. It states it’s part of a M Parlee Collection 1945-2000 It says it’s has two pages but the other page is blank?

MissyS.
I think what you found is a newspaper article. All I am saying is Del Scrader published the book in 1975 and he also wrote the newspaper article. I looked to see if I could find when the newspaper article came out and from where. I didn't find it but from some research I did years ago, I remembered the name Del Schrader. I have not read the book but did find it online. I tried to find Raul Chavez but didn't have any luck last night. Did you find anything on him? I did find a Lorena M. Parlee born in 1945 in LA, California and died in 2006. I think this newspaper article was from her collection.

It looks like Raul Chavez was active in Democratic politics from 1970 to 1979. There is also a hand written date on the clipping of 7/11/83 that someone wrote on the clipping in black ink. I’m guessing is the date of that printing? I don’t know who wrote the clipping if it’s written by Del Schrader also? It’s confusing but interesting. texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc2016404/m1/1/
