Steven Sederwall has a book Cold West Case files, The “Dirty” On Billy The Kid, it was published May 24,2020 I believe, so it’s been out a couple months, it includes a lot of investigative findings and quite informative , it helps to answer some unanswered questions on some of Billy’s events, or gives an investigative side to some of them, I believe many of you that like to read about Billy the Kid would find it quite interesting.

Amazing book. Steve was on his way to finding out the truth. He was supported at first but then as he started discovering new things he was ridiculed, threatened and then sued. Just wish he was allowed to keep doing his thing. His Cold West Detectives Facebook page has some cool Billy the kid stuff.

Just finished reading it myself. Great book. Throws up a lot of evidence re BTK incidents and hints at a VERY interesting conclusion

It's slightly different in the fact that it is a forensic look at things, but some of the info it provides and attention to detail is astonishing. Setting the scene for many famous scenarios by finding thee actual evidence 100 plus years later is spine tingling. Yes. top 3 for me...who knows what might happen next?

Brushy said he accidentally shot Bell at the top of the stairs -with Bell's own gun....no such mistake with Olinger who was just as much a player in the LCW for Dolan as BTK was for the Regulators. Doesn't make sense for BTK to have got a gun from the outhouse and wait until he was back upstairs before disarming Bell -yet that's the traditional scholarly view.....Brushy Bill strikes again like he does with his gunfight outside Maxwell's bedroom with Mckinney -truth can be stranger than fiction . There is a lock of hair claimed to be Billy's in the Fort Sumner musuem in good condition -begging for a DNA profile.... could be off an animal!

But maybe the hair cut was the ultimate blast from the past ,,,BTK's perfect DNA from so long ago . Most see Billy's killing of Olinger as sadistic murder - yet They both had killed each other's friends in the LCW - they were both leading protagonists in the war...but also BTK found himself trapped on the top floor of a building with one exit.. in chains with a very narrow window of opportunity for eliminating Olinger -standing between him and freedom...he had been trapped in buildings before -not this time.

Steven Sederwall set out in earnest to find a cop killer that had once plagued his town of Lincoln - instead he found a crooked cop...there can be no doubt he found the man Garrett shot in Maxwell's bedroom -only it wasn't BTK because the man was buried in Arizona 40 years after the fact and his name was John Miller.

I was aware of the Sederwall theory but after reading his book I remain speechless. He did an outstanding job along with his team. I highly recommend this book!
