oluckyman, Nice find. That explains the source of the convoluted and purely fictional genealogy chart of William Henry Roberts published by Jameson on page 90 of "The Return of the Outlaw Billy the Kid".
Tunstiill did get a little information correct. H O Roberts and Caroline Dunn were the parents of Martha Vada Roberts Heath who married Monroe Dudley Heath. H O Roberts and his 2nd wife, Sarah Elizabeth Ferguson, were the parents of Oliver Pleasant Roberts. Vada Belle Heath, daughter of Martha Vada Roberts and Dudley Heath married 1st, D L Goff in 1917; 2nd, Joseph Neely Emerson. Tunstill corresponded with Paul Emerson, son of Joseph Emerson and Vada Belle Heath, and Eulaine Goff Haws, daughter of Vada Belle Heath and D L Goff. Roy Haws, son of Eulaine Goff Haws, is the author of the book, "Brushy Bill....Just Another Billy the Kid Texas Tall Tale".
The relationships and supposed relatives in the rest of the genealogical chart are fiction.
William H Antrim's response to the Bureau of Pensions request for information is further proof that he married Catherine McCarty, and that she was the mother of at least 2 sons. Henry McCarty and Joseph McCarty were 2 of the witnesses when Catherine McCarty and William Antrim were married in Santa Fe.

Tunstill, for all intents and purposes, was a con man either intentionally or unintentionally. I happen to think ORIGINALLY he had honest intentions, but as time went onwards he saw it was all bull**** but continued onwards so he wouldn't lose face and contrived X, Y, and Z.
Still, it's interesting to watch him on film interviewing Ola Everhart on YouTube though I believe that woman knew damn well Dalton wasn't Jesse James and was in on it from day one.
At the end of the day, a simple DNA test between the Roberts family of Nacogdoches and the Roberts family of Arkansas would end this. No need to dig up Brushy Bill Roberts or anything. Just a simple mouth swab of one living descendant from each Roberts family. If they were cousins, it'll show up. If they're two separate families unrelated or distantly related, it'll show up.
Or, quite frankly a simple DNA test of Brushy Bill Roberts and either his siblings or his father or his mother would end all this immediately. After all, he claimed that he stole the identity of his cousin, therefore his father wasn't really his father, etc.

I wanted to update Oluckyman’s interesting link, there’s perhaps a 1990 affidavits that may have been added to that link? Why they are dated 1990 I don’t know?, but there’s an affidavit of James Tully that’s quite interesting, a story of Joe Salazar being present when Brushy visited the Salazar home in 1950, and Brushy strode over to a photograph of Higinio Salazar on the wall, and he embraced it and got teary eyed, and when Joe saw that he knew that Brushy was Billy, I don’t know if this has been told before or known?, also there’s something else mentioned regarding Higinio on that affidavit that may open up to some interesting future discussions.
