Hi peeps im in isolation from Coronavirus as I’m high risk. On Friday my work place closed down, self employed so I’m unpaid until it’s over, my landlord is refusing to accept anything less than the whole rent, I can’t get out to the shop, almost out of nosh, definitely out of dosh. keep up the good billy detective work. marmalade

As I understand it, your landlord can't evict you during the current corona event. Also, many are supposed to be receiving a stimulus check for $1k or more sometime in April, if the proposal is approved on both sides of Congress. Until then, I hope that you will be OK and get a friend or neighbor to deliver some basic items to your residence.

If you are worried I would call HUD and report the landlord because as far as I know everyone is getting an extension on different things because of this coronavirus. They can't do that to you during this time.
And yes the best thing you can do with your time is to focus on things that you want to catch up on or learn about. So spending time here is a good thing.
Jesus bless you and Jesus bless your family 😊

I’m so sorry your going through such a tough time with the Corona Virus, being kept isolated can get lonesome and scary, at the same time being worried about making ends meet and having enough for yourself and family can be overwhelming stress for many, until the stimulus check gets to you perhaps there’s an area food bank in your area you can call that may have volunteers that can possibly bring you some items to your porch? or a church or mission that can get you in touch with someone to help you get the things you need right now?, also reaching out to HUD as Rufus suggests or a Housing Authority or an agency that can give you ready answers to questions about Tenants Rights can give you some piece of mind about your rent. Please don’t get depressed, reading and watching an uplifting movie is great for taking your mind off of things, being shut in is lousy, but on the bright side if you ever thought about writing a journal or making a scrapbook, rearranging or organizing your house, or other things you thought about doing but didn’t have time to, this shut in time can be useful. Take Care and Keep Safe
