Sounds interesting, but I'm about 774K short. Wonder if they'll accept an offer... I'll put a grand in

Let's definitely do a gofundme we could give the house to Wayne Land. No chance unless there's a clause written in for free bed and board if we're holidaying in the area. I'm not giving away my hard-earned money to not be able to geek out on my own time.

If its still there in 4 years when I retired I will have serious talk with the wife about a possible project, I would move over there tomorrow but she does not think like me...🙁 Its been on and off the market for at least the last 3 years, who knows it may be still there in 4 years

The Old Wortley is Awesome, great investment. I wonder why these historical sites in Lincoln are selling?

The Old Wortley is Awesome, great investment. I wonder why these historical sites in Lincoln are selling? That’s the wrong question. The correct question is why aren’t we all millionaires so we can snap them up.

I've been to Lincoln and surrounds about half a dozen times...lost count. I spoken with quite a few folks who live there and in Fort Sumner, etc.. Someone who lives there told me that living in Lincoln is "Dullsville!" It is difficult to make a living there. While a number of people drive threw the place (It is only one road maybe a mile long!) not many stop and fewer yet spend any money. If you want to live there, have at it, but first join several Book of the Month Clubs.

The Old Wortley is Awesome, great investment. I wonder why these historical sites in Lincoln are selling? The Old Wortley hotel/restaurant that the Kid and Bob Olinger would have known burned down in the 30's sometime...I think it was in the 30s. It was rebuilt, I think on or about on it's original location, but what is there now doesn't look like the original structure. However what had been the Lincoln County Courthouse is original. It's been gussied up a few times. Steve Sederwall threw some of that stuff that illuminates blood residue in the hallway upstairs and he found quite a lot of it both in the hall, on the stairs and spattered on the wall. Bell and Billy made quite a mess when they had their fight up there. I've stood at the window that Billy shot threw to kill Bob Olinger. It's kind of neat because you can stand at the very place, probably in Billy's footsteps when he blew the deputy away. The people who run the museum there usually open the window so you can play Billy the Kid and make boom, boom noises.
