Chiming in here, I must say I believe "speculation" is a useful tool in discovering the facts. Yes, that is possible. I've always said and still believe that whether Dalton was or was not Jessie James does not prove or disprove Brushy's identity. I agree.

I've always said and still believe that whether Dalton was or was not Jessie James does not prove or disprove Brushy's identity. As I said on my Brushy Bill Roberts Facebook page, whether Dalton was Jesse James or not is immaterial. However, like the case of Brushy Bill Roberts, the question is, "Who was he then?", because there's never really been anything verifiable as to who J. Frank Dalton was either. Was he really over 100? How did he know certain family stories that only they knew? Even if we grant the skeptics the assumption that neither man was who they claimed: It's plausible that J. Frank Dalton actually knew Jesse James. It's plausible Brushy Bill Roberts actually knew Billy The Kid. Only DNA would clear up the mysteries. After all, there is such an extensive database at Ancestry and other sites that these mystery men could possibly be identified to living descendants even if they weren't related to the Roberts or Dalton families.

1881, Welcome. Please make a self note to yourself that although Texas Truth Teller is good at researching things you should take his conclusions with a grain of salt, but it might not be as fun without him also. For example, we've already explained to him about fifty times that Brushy didn't say Catherine's last name was Bonney and in fact I can show you where he told both Henry J. Walker and Morrison that her last name was not Bonney. But to answer your question, Brushy got dates wrong, his mind was slipping, on recorded audio you can here him say he was at the Chicago World's Fair or somewhere in 1904 and the interviewer corrects him and tells him the correct date and Brushy immediately agrees that it was 1893 or something. I could write a long thing about how this is easy to do even if you are old and sharp minded but also he might measure years by pretended ages etc. and mess his math up but the way I figure it, that would still mean he probably was there, but his mind was obviously going a little bit. But back to TTT, there are records of Mary Adeline Dunn's and J H Roberts, and James Roberts (we can't prove if any of them are related to Brushy tho but there are records of people with these names) and I recently debunked the one Mary Adeline Roberts who was married to JH Roberts and that is only if Brushy's authors copied down everything exactly as he said which we know they didn't but they didn't make mistakes on purpose and they admit that his story was hard to piece together because he was hard to understand and he bounced back and forth. Another thing TTT said was that Billy was not related to the Roberts family but the truth is no one knows what families he was related to, except we know Antrim was his step dad and he was probably related to Catherine although the Antrim family says Billy was illegitimate. ALSO, Brushy never said that Martha Heath was NOT a sister of Oliver Roberts, so that should be a point for Brushy. ---Brushy just said he wasn't Oliver Roberts. Good luck with your research and let me know if you have ANY questions at all. He is right. Brushy never said that Mrs. Antrim's last name was Bonney. He told author Henry J. Walker that Belle Starr gave him the name Bonney. After reading about the information that McKinley412 has reported to us contained in that book Jesse James The Outlaw by, Henry J. Walker. I went out and bought it recently and read it. Brushy's birthday was January of 1861 it seems, but he simply says 1861 in the book, but in another post from the 1870 census the family lives in Blanco, Texas and the birthdate is given as January 1861. I believe McKinley412, I think that is our guy.

I am not going to say on here what it was, but I figured out something that even Brushy authors have failed to point out. I do not know why they have failed to point it out, but they did.

Be interested to learn what you uncovered? I may be off track or wrong but hear me out: This guy "Brushy the Kid is the same kid who used "Historysleuth" in the past, the same guy that when you tell him he's wrong he does not take it. How do I know this? The attitude, the multiple pv messages, etc... That guy has been on my case since the Wild telegram incident and even before when he logged as "Historysleuth". He seem to have deleted is account, just a question of time till he comesback under another name. Im not the only one who thinks the same thing as me on this board. I know Im far from perfect and some of you may not like me but I do what I can and thats how I am when you come after me with stupid remarks and points that dont hold up. If you know that I dont agree and wont agree let it go and dont comeback weeks later poking me again, thats what HE did and quite a few times... And why poking someone that is on your side??? That I dont get I may take a long break from the board, I wish you all well

Ditto, chivato88 you shouldn't have to take a break. I've noticed the same patterns, new accounts, multiple posts in a few days, umbrage taken if any disagreement, acoount disappears... a little while later a new name reappears and the whole pattern repeats.
The whole joy of this board is the to and fro of the various opinions and the digging up of new info.
The very fact this board continues to exist shows nobody has all the answers......yet.
If anyone comes on here and takes a hissy fit because others won't immediately agree to their (often wildly unproven) theories then it is they who should be taking a long hard look at themselves.
I for one hope decorum prevails and the discussions continue, with chivato88 still very much a part.

I deleted the "deleted" account yesterday and banned the IP address. That should help resolve these issues and I sure hope you'll stay chivato88. I try hard to monitor this stuff and keep the board going in the right direction but sometimes I overlook things or go a couple days when I'm not monitoring as closely. Always feel free to PM me with any concerns.

Is this the same person that seemed to hack an account a few weeks back? Everyone seemed to have an idea of who it was and so did I but now I’m questioning whether my own suspicions were right at all.
