I checked the book Shooters today, after over a month it finally arrived. I know nmjames already checked it but since I paid for the thing I figured check it again. I can't do research like this. It's up to you guys. Keep looking for that young Brushy pic!

I purchased the book" Encyclopedia of Western Gunfighters" by Bill O'Neal, I guess I was thinking if a group photo could be in one book it may be used in another, but no such luck, there were a few Clements photos but all were individual grown men, no group photo of a young Brushy in any photo on any page. Im thinking possibly "The True West" Publication people may can help? they may have or can remember a group photo of the Clements, they may have used a photo like that in a past magazine issue, and can look up what issue or article, its a stretch though.

wayne, I want to say that the work you did regarding the photographs of billy and brushy is excellent. Your pointing out the drooping shoulder is something that I had never noticed. There is also a similarity in that their noses each look to be off center a bit. You know, stories and time lines and names etc can get confused or even fabricated over time ( especially for a 90 year old ) but many physical characteristics such as we see between brushy and billy stay for the duration. the chances are so very slim that they shared the same that on this evidence alone I have to believe the two were one and the same. Now if we can only find the pic of young brushy

Thanks Montanas. The point you make illustrates exactly why I believe Brushy was Billy The Kid. I don't believe he told the truth about everything that happened and I believe he had memory issues that caused a lot of the confusion with dates and such. But I just can't get past all the physical similarities and the odds that an impostor would be able to get as much "correct" as he did.
