I wish everyone could start posting more photos and not worry so much about copyrights. If you aren't making any money off of them you should be fine. I want to this 'alleged' picture of Billie Cramer somebody got from the Cheyenne historical society. I want to see the pic of Billie from Westerner magazine Spring 1975 although I'm guessing it's one I've seen before if you just describe it to me. But I still find new stuff sometimes, I never saw this amazing!!!pic until like a week or two ago. Somebody should be using this as their avatar/thumbnail.

Here is another one of Brushy. I wish someone could find out where the teen pic of Brushy is so that we can have it dated.

Hi everyone im new to this forum and not near the researcher that some of yall r but i have been fascinated with brushy bill since i was a kid. Im sure someone has done a comparison of brushy and the photo of him with the jones boys after the cattle drive but i dont remember seeing one. Does anyone have any insight on this and do any of yall believe they r the same man?

You might be interested in the following link to a page on my website called "Searching For The Kid". It includes a comparison of the outline of the famous Dedrick tintype overlaid on the photo from the Jones boys and others. Includes an overlay over the photo of Brushy at age 14. musicpla9.wixsite.com/searchingforthekid/other-photos

Thanks wayne! I think i've seen that before now that u've reminded me. I've never been sold on that pic but Bob hefner of Hico, Tx was. He told me at least two diff times that the jones pic was the one btk gave Paulita and that the one everyone excepts wasnt even him. I've always thought diff but if i remember right when morrison and brushy went to NM and met with some of the jones family and was handed that pic with them saying it was btk. I think brushy even agreed it was him in the pic but im shown pics of myself all the time that i dont remember taking. I was hoping both pics matched brushy. Im not bashing mr hefner at all! I really enjoyed talking to him about brushy and i believe he was on the right track with most things other than that pic. The only thing that bothers me in the excepted pic is that his pistol is on the right and brushy said that he could shoot with both hands but was faster with his left. Ive also wondered if there is another gun on his left in that pic but u just cant see it. U would think that u'd want every advantage in those days and have what appears to b his main gun on the fastest side.

I doubt they made a lot of left-handed holsters. Alias Billy the Kid in one part sounds like Brushy is identifying that photo as him in Dodge City but when you look at the picture in the book it says it was identified by Bill and Sam Jones, but I like to think that Brushy was talking about a different photo that he made with the Jones Brothers in Dodge City because that is obviously not him in the photo. I think Bill and Sam Jones made a mistake when they identify that person as Billy the Kid, you know how everyone owns a Billy the Kid photo right?

Welcome pack1818, It's interesting about Brushy saying he was good with both right and left but faster with his left, because according to an interview by Edith Crawford to Mrs Lesnett who knew Billy, said he had often said that he wished he were as accurate with a six-gun as he was with a rifle. He was good with a pistol but excellent with a rifle. I also believe Jesse Evans saying something about that too, that he thought he was faster than the Kid with a pistol, but the Kid was faster than him with a rifle. Its just a thought that If Billy/Brushy had carried the rifle with his left then it would make sense he would say he's good with both but faster with his left, and Brushy would be accurate with what Billy had said?

Thanks! Yeah i've read him talking about the rifle somewhere too. It might b the lost intv tapes book that im thinking about. As far as the gun being on the right side makes me think brushy knew everyone thought he was left handed because of the pic and he felt like he had to explain because there it is in black and white in the pic. I believe he could shoot with either hand but if he was faster with the left i believe he'd figure out a way to have it on the left. Im guessing he was faster with the right. Im right handed and i cant do anything accurate with my left so it would take someone that can use both hands to weigh in on it. To me hes showing that pistol with some cockiness in that pic. Hes holding the rifle in the left hand so everyone can see that pistol in the pic. Its just a thought.

In the croquet photo it looks like Billy's hand or wrist is bandaged , Im guessing it may be from the injury he got at Blazer's Mill?, if that photo is a mirror image then it would be Billy's left hand or wrist?, It's just a thought that Billy had to start using his right hand due to that injury and he may have gotten better with his right because of it? One of the Coe's said Billy used alot more cartridges than anyone else in the group because he was constantly practicing, it would make sense that he would be after the injury so he could rely on his right in a fight. Billy very well could be sending a cocky message in that well known Dedrick photo of him, if that photo was taken after the croquet photo, he could be showing he's healed and hes shooting with his right and he's just as deadly. Men like Jesse Evans may have heard about Billy's injured hand or wrist and thought it a good time to take advantage with a shoot out with him, so Billy may have felt a need to show off that gun and healed hand, It's just a guess?

Show us the photos. If they are not worth having I'll probably take them.
