Blazers Mill. Regulators lost Dick Brewer, but Buckshot Roberts died the next day of his wounds. Billy the Kid bravely lept at Roberts to kill him, but Roberts hit Billy with the barrel of his rifle. Billy remarked later of the event; ""Yes sir, he licked our crowd to a finish." Also wounded: 'Doc' Scurlock (shot in the leg); Billy 'the Kid' (minor bullet wound in arm); George Coe (right trigger finger shot off); Charlie Bowdre (shot in the belt buckle - knocked the wind out of him); and John Middleton (shot in the chest).
