Theres a new show premiering soon, Produced By O'Reilly, Tells Stories of the Wild West
// Bill O'Reilly // Legends & Lies FOX News Channel (FNC) will present a 10-week run of historical episodes entitled, Legends & Lies: Into the West, with the first installment debuting on Sunday, April 12th from 8-9PM/ET, Executive produced by FNC’s Bill O’Reilly, the hour-long episodes will recount the tales of the greatest characters of America’s Wild West, including Jesse James, David Crockett, Doc Holliday and Billy the Kid. Each week, Legends & Lies will feature a portrayal of the critical moment that made each American hero renowned, along with first-hand accounts from direct descendants and historians. Coupling that with the support of archival photographs and special effects, viewers will see the forensic science and hear the analysis, giving them a chance to decipher the true story behind each hero and separate the legend from the lie.
Two original episodes will run back-to-back for the premiere week with brand new episodes debuting every following Sunday. Legends & Lies will also be presented during additional weekend programming including, Saturdays at 8PM/ET and on Sundays at 9PM/ET
I don't know if these will be any good, the last shows I posted about wasn't that good especially the one about Billy The Kid, after watching it I felt bad about posting about them being aired. These episodes say they offer insight from historians and descendants and archive photograghs so maybe they will be interesting to watch?

O.K. I watched the Billy the Kid episode last night at 7, if you haven't seen these episodes they're pretty good, better than I thought they would be, I was surprised that the Billy The Kid episode did include Brushy Bill, and showed his version of how the shooting with Garrett may have happened, mentioning Billy Barlow, the actor that played Brushy looked nothing like him, but they did include him, the episode didn't play out like a full documentary because it didn't talk about evidence such as facial comparisons or interviews that were done at the time like an unsolved mystery I thought these shows would be more like that, but it was in my opinion pretty good, all of the other episodes Doc Holiday, Black Bart etc.. were also pretty good.

Hey, Missy. I also watched the Legends and Lies show about Billy the Kid last night. I was VERY surprised to see that Bill O'Reilly actually gave credence to Brushy's claims. He (O'Reilly) normally sticks with the status quo. Aside from showing Brushy's version of the shootout at the Maxwell ranch, did you also notice that Brushy's statements to Morrison were presented as 'actual quotes' from Billy the Kid?!? I just about fell off my couch with excitement! Of course, I whole-heartedly agree with Brushy's quotes being attributed to Billy the Kid. They were one and the same!

Yes, I did notice that, I want to also say that this episode wasn't 100% historically accurate but really not alot are, alot of them vary on dates and times , and specifics and things left out, this show had Billy climbing up a chiminy to escape jail, and the killing of Windy Cayhill, I think the directors tried to include as much as they could, I would have liked more about Brushy maybe like the things he accomplished after the escape from the shooting, but I was just glad he was mentioned as most documentarys are based on Pat Garrett's version of his book with maybe a few differences thrown in unless of course it's an unsolved mystery then you may see Brushy's version and leaves it up to the viewer to decide which way they want to believe, anyway I didn't expect this show to be different, I watched with an open mind and I was surprised to see Brushy's statements and the version of a Billy Barlow , I noticed it showed him being shot in the back that's different. Anyway I was told you can buy the book on these shows and I believe it's on kindle or will be on kindle to read, if you missed watching it, but I believe it will be shown again, some of the others were like Doc Holiday.

I wish there were more TV documentaries about it. Then we wouldn't have to turn to Wikipedia, lol.
