Texas Truth-Teller, you got me again. I don't know what was going on that day or where I was getting my info from. Perhaps it was the day I was a chaperone at a high school dance and maybe someone spiked the Hawaiian Punch., I forget when it was that I recently got back into this Billy stuff, but I'm all brushed up and squared away now. I never want to make any false statements to help Brushy's story or hurt it and I would never do it knowingly. but right now the only record I have is a Mary A Dunn married to a John H Roberts, Kentucky 1860 census. And maybe another Mary Dunn. Francis's Mary would be way to young. Did you see I'm getting all that William Roberts court-martial stuff ready for you?

mckinlley412, Perhaps a William Roberts was court-martialed. How will you prove that he was the one that enlisted at Muscogee, OK, and not from another state?

You ought to be able to do most of that right now off of Google using the information I posted on another post wherever it is, you just need the name and the unit they were in and it will show who enlisted where. I've looked at it before. I only have Internet on my phone now and my library is open 19 hours a week. Won't be open again until Tuesday. Besides I'm still waiting for him to check some other aliases. Eventually when I get it narrowed down to the best choices they will send me the transcripts of the trials.

I haven't looked at this in awhile. Somewhere on here about a year ago there was a post of military record or something of J.H. Roberts from Kentucky. Will somebody help me find it please? I found this for J.H. Roberts: J H Roberts - Facts J H Roberts - FactsThe document says he was in the cavalry, and the state is Georgia. I did a screen shot of the same J.H. Roberts who enlisted with the Texas Infantry. Roberts, J H › Page 1 - Fold3.com

James Henry Roberts Civil War Pension, 1879. I believe this pension application was for service with the Union Army. It appears that James Henry Roberts was in the 31st Infantry, perhaps the 31st Indiana infantry. At the bottom of the card is additional text. The first 2 words appear to be "All Ind", and the remaining text is indecipherable.

Could be Ind for Indiana. OR "All ind. War pens. .... "All individual war pension ? 14845"

'Counce' TN is a TN River 'burb' of Savannah TN, a river-town located in Hardin County, where the Battle of Shiloh (Lew Wallace's former stompin' grounds) occurred, Su-Mo 6/7 Apr 1862.
The Counce Family in Hardin County had their name mis-spelled "Counts" too many times 2 count.
Utilizing the deductive logic of the late-great PGA Golfer Payne Stewart, "It's Simple Really:" If 'Joe Hines was able 2 prove his actual identity as that of Jesse Evans in a court of law, enabling Jesse Evans 2 inherit his late brother's land-deed, the very same Jesse Evans who 'dropped a dime' on his old teenage amigo from Silver City -'Brash Billy,' then more likely than not: ANYONE can 'put stock' in the words & claims of BOTH Joe Hines & Jesse Evans, because they 'BOTH' knew who was who in Lincoln County, and who was the Real McCoy' livin' incognito as 'Brashy Bill' in Hico TX. Jesse Evans would know these particulars, as would Brash Billy. ...by all means: RUN with this Golden Info; If Joe Hines was the Real Deal, and he spilled the beans on Ollie Roberts, then Ollie Roberts of Hico was the Real Deal too; no wonder his bullet wounds & numerous scars matched the Wrists, Hands, Height, Footsize, Ears & Eyebrows of one 'Brash-y' Billy the Kid.
