I'm 68, don't know how to post pics on here...anyway I found a book with a signature inside To Arlene ( then underneath) Billy the Kid! It's called The Saga of Billy the Kid. There is an excerpt in it about someone shooting a cigarette out of Billy's mouth & next to that someone wrote Bull! It's interesting but don't look like the other signatures. I change my signature all the time so who knows! I only found this forum cause of the book. I'm going to sell it if I can

I got your email and took a quick look at the signature. My initial impression is that it is not from Brushy. Of course it can't be Billy The Kid's signature unless he lived on past 1881. I don't think that book was written until the 1920's. I'm trying to find a copy of John Miller's writing as well but so far I haven't found anything.
Would you like me to post the pics on here for others to see?

Hi Wayne.. sure post it..and I have also been searching for the other guy's signature...whoever it was is disputing the cig being shot out of Billy's mouth..that's what makes it more interesting to me... I don't remember hearing about this subject before and find it kind of fascinating. I read somewhere that Unsolved Mysteries did a segment on it. Both Brushy & Miller were alive when the book wasppublished. I googled Univ. Of CA Billy the Kid ..there was one or two things..but not about thos book..thanks..Linda
