tbor74...you mentioned Miller earlier and probably know he was observed at his wedding a few weeks later -wiith a bandaged chest wound and wearing a gun.In recent times...what is believed to be his skeletal remains had a neat hole through the shoulder blade -above the heart .. As soon as Miller was fit to leave Fort Sumner -Maxwell gave him horses a,waggon with supplies, and a dozen head of cattle in order to disappear west.It was also said Miller was always sought any news of BTK -right up to the time of radio...obviously Miller believed BTK was still alive throughout his life and also believed that sooner or later -BTK's existence would be revealed...

Hi Kerry, I do indeed know about Miller and the chest wound, backed up by the skeleton. I used to think Miller was the more likely of the 2 until reading all of Wayne's info. Do Miller and Brushy BOTH have a story to tell? The fact that MacDaniels (or whatever his name was) reacted to "The Kid says hello" makes me feel that a small group of ex LCW men knew there was subterfuge. When I sit and think it through it all becomes too foggy with 'what ifs' but there's definitely something going on. As with serial killers now, there'll always be people claiming to be so and so for infamy, but Brushy AND Miller had something more to them.
