hey these are fun to check out especially after I just rented The Kid 2019, which I thought did really well.
I thought their take on stinking spring was darn close to how it looks today, the trees still stand parts of the posse aligned with as they readied against the rock house. the spring still stinks and it still runs as it did 140 yrs ago. wagon trail marks in front of the rock house still present, mother nature has not filled it all in/amazing mind blown. adjust your player to hd

the tunstall kill site trail we know to be heavily eroded due to offroading.

stinking spring however is amazing archaeology and is largely undisturbed. I routinely think about getting to meet Janean Grissom in person at her home in July of 17 I sure hope she is still doing ok. She allowed me to film something that changed my life in a serious way and she trusted I would document the history without disturbing the site. being half a mile away counts as not disturbing lol. youtu.be/qkroaj7d3MM
that above is the old Taiban Church still doing ok as of last week I saw it/same.
here's one of the caves outside Lincoln off the side of the road you always wanted to climb up to and peer inside: youtu.be/2eq3O0s5z7c
Bosque Redondo, Ive got to give the Kid 2019 5 stars their old Ft Sumner is just spot on youtu.be/fm1YS0s-Ta4

no other video for the Bosque exists regarding drone flight (legally if there are any) it takes air clearance timing and meetings with staff/State NM to get permission to fly there, no scum is allowed I'm sure thankful to the 10th degree to Aaron R for working with me to document this beautiful place.

youtu.be/Oem79PSI4zwnot related to the kid, but I'm 1000% positive he laid eyes on it. Might've climbed it if he were bored, heading from The mill in Ruidoso down towards White Oaks...Nogal peak drone flight. loved that one

this video of stinking spring, ultra mega rare. 400 feet up facing straight down. shows whole topography in 2d. the top curve is Garrett's ridge. youtu.be/_hlU1yrF3eo

I know of no State more drone friendly than New Mexico. Lincoln national forest is drone friendly, the rangers literally are friendly about them if you call to ask/plan spot/are reasonable person when flying. They know taking pics in the air is just fun harmless great time, so I sure hope this persists. if we dont abuse things it will...Ruidoso and surrounding areas are drone friendly, this is rare in a world where people largely hate them for reasons other than cool archaeological documentation, which is awesome.

Here's cool location When we read in books about the Tunstall kill site, the location they call Pajarito Canyon is this shot It's the canyon portion where the sun is creating a shadow, the Tunstall site is about 1 mile further up at the start of that canyon. To get to Lincoln, regulators and tradesmen et al traveled down pajarito canyon, crossed over what is now highway 70, headed into devils canyon pass, came out near Ft Stanton, then head right youtu.be/9YVnPIGjNXw

Team, this is what it looks like to send the drone peak to peak to look for Mogollon cave drawings and any artifacts that may be on mountain tops youtu.be/AQyV-TF5ZoM
