I just joined this forum. I’ve read on here for a while and appreciate the wealth of knowledge shared here. With regard to the Fulton/McCubbin “last stand” note I cannot find any evidence that Bonney had any skirmishes with Indians. Can anyone offer any evidence of the regulators and contact with Indians?

im not familiar with the last stand note but there are many stories of Billy and skirmishes with Indians. at least three different ones not including 2 stories of killing a guy known as Sergovia the Indian which he probably did.. i dont have any of my books anymore. maybe if you look in They Knew Billy the Kid or other WPA Files or certain versions of the Bernstein Killing maybe or leaving Camp Grant. Evidence? Only that Sergovia story has been told a couple times if he was actually a real Indian because Idk. One place it is mentioned is in The Real Billy the Kid by Otero. I believe tho in the story of the Indians and how he wound up at the Jones place. I think I do. Idk.
