I want to suggest a book "My Girlhood Among Outlaws" by Lily Klasner and edited by Eve Ball, This book has a ton of information compiled together from Lily Klasner's memories of growing up in New Mexico when she first moved from Texas with her family. Lily was friends with Sallie Chisum, early on she wanted to write a book so she kept every scrap she could of documents, letters and even info given to her from Sallie Chisum, the book is very in depth because there are accounts of who settled when and where and persons that she knew that weren't directly involved in the Lincoln County War but was connected to it, she wrote about the war, and leading up to it because her memoirs included arriving in NM before the war started, her accounts of the first times she saw Jesse Evans he was working for Chisum then and her accounts of Billy The Kid stopping at her home, she wrote about Ollinger how he frequented her home to visit her and her family, she said he visited and spoke about the Kid the Sunday before he was killed by him, and it wasn't in an unfriendly way that he spoke of him, she wrote a softer side to Ollinger, anyway there was a lot of interesting info, and I enjoyed reading it.

What an amazing life she lived! You feel that you re right there when you read the book. The part about Jon Jones and Ollinger made me chuckle a bit😀. It gives you an idea on how Murphy was like before the LCW and how it all started. I am really impressed of the tenacity this family had. Like MissyS I highly recommend this book!
