If Joe Hines in Florida was actually Campbell then what happened to Jesse Evans is still a mystery? And what of Jim McDaniels who Morrison traced to Round Rock? I just finished reading Warriors of Lincoln County and Philip Rasch wrote that he died in Las Cruces on March 2, 1881? Some of these accounts are very confusing.

McDaniels lived well into his 80's. I agree, there are so many different accounts as to what really happened to some of these old outlaws Billy the kid included, that it is hard to know what to believe.

The aliases create so much confusion
In the above article, it mentions an Archie Clement, could he be related to 'the' Clements family, who had links to Alf Day, who it has been rumoured was actually Jesse Evans.....?
