where was Morrison's proof? All I'm asking is that for someone to compare something they must have a document which lists all the wounds/scars and locations to match it with. This hasn't, never has and never will. And besides it's the pro brushies who heavily rely on the scars scenario but not one can provide any evidence whatsoever to support it. Every scar up until BTK died..Right, so the leg wound was verified, just another coincidence, man this Brushy guy had a lot of coincidences in his favor, guess luck was on his side. Exactly. He also just happened to have that same eye condition Billy had, the small wrists and large hands are also a coincidence, the eyebrows, the ears, the height and body figure, oh and my personal favorite Severos Gallegos and Jose Montoya both knew the Kid in documented and undisputed fact, but they both also identified Brushy Bill and Billy as one and the same. I guess that is a coincidence too. This is like the JFK assassination at some point coincidence leaves off and the obvious, a conspiracy, begins.

As I thought, still no proof for a very simple question.

So BTK received 26 scars from birth to July 1881. Obviously they must have been prominent to be noticed. Then vanished off the face of the earth till 1950 and returned with exactly the same scars but no extra ones,.fishy If you look at the picture of Brushy standing over J. Frank Dalton in his bed, then you can see the one on his forehead that he received during the shootout with Pat Garrett. It would be stupid for them to lie about such, especially one that you could see. So, it is a little bit silly to me to say that they were lying. just another question, what shootout was that with Mr Garrett?

Why would anyone believe DeWitt Travis (26 Mar 1889-26 Feb 1961)? Find a Grave Memorial #97964768. He was born about 8 years after Garrett filed the fatal shot, and DeWitt could not have seen Billy the Kid before 1882. He could not truthfully attest to how many scars Billy the Kid had. DeWitt could only swear to the number of scars on Brushy Bill's body. Also Dewitt's father fought with Brushy's during the Civil War and his mom and Brushy's mom were girlhood friends. Girlhood friends?? Elbert DeWitt Travis Sr. was DeWitt's father. DeWitt's mother was Martha Ann Patterson, born in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana about 1859, daughter of Duncan Patterson.
See pages 14 & 16, "Alias Billy the Kid".
"My mother's maiden name was Mary Adeline Dunn. Her native state was Kentucky."
"Consequently, when Mrs Roberts died in 1862....."
Childhood friends? One born in Kentucky; one born in Louisiana. One a mother in 1859. The other born about 1859.

I know who Dewitt Travis's father was. Dewitt could have been refering to Brushy's stepmother.

I know who Dewitt Travis's father was. Dewitt could have been refering to Brushy's stepmother. Here's another good one from DeWitt Travis:
page 74 "My father, Elbert Travis, and Brushy Bill's father served together under Quantrill during the Civil War."
FAG#97964667 "Elbert Dewitt Travis was born 20 Jan 1847 in Fayette Co., MS. During the Civil War, he served with the 3rd MS Cavalry, Co. E. He enlisted 15 Aug 1864 at Augusta, MS. He was taken prisoner and paroled 16 May 1865 at Columbus, MS. He resided in Perry Co., MS. He married Martha Ann Patterson on 13 Aug 1873 in Navarro County. She was born 16 Apr 1852 in Claiborne Parish, LA. She died 28 Jun 1932. He died 19 Dec 1894. She applied for a widow's pension but it was rejected. Later, she re-applied for Widow's Pension #39963 on 08 May 1924 while living at Wills Point. She was 69 years old at the time, had lived in Texas 54 years, in the county 52 years. They were both buried at Myrtle Springs.

Sure seems as if Elbert was 17 when he enlisted in the CSA. Doesn't seem possible that he served with Quantrill.

You do not know that. He may have not been being that specific when refering to Brushy's mom.

Yes, but as you must know the Quantrill's Raider's continued to fight after the war was over. They officially disbanded in May 1865, but they did continue to fighter after the war was over. They were still fighting in 1866. Of course he could have before the he enlisted. He could have tagged along with them. Ever heard of Johnny Clem alias Johnny Shiloh? I have a whole book full of young guys like that. I mean it is likely that he could have followed along before or after.

You do not know that. He may have not been being that specific when refering to Brushy's mom. Okay wait a minute, my fault he only said that his father knew Brushy's. You know I was going off of memory and I do not owe you an explanation really. I am not going to explain anything to you anymore and I do not want you explaining anything about Brushy to me or anybody else for that matter. You are not an expert. You know some things, but you have an agenda, and I do not really appreciate it. I think it a bit wrong to try and tarnish an old man's reputation that is not here to defend himself, but as I said I am not going to debate anymore of these points with you, because you should have enough sense that you realize, for example, that after leaving prison that Elbert Dewitt Travis Sr. could have teamed up with Quantrill's, because while on paper dissolved, they were still operating. I also think it is very sick of any member of Brushy's family distant cousin or not, because he was not Oliver Pleasant Roberts he was William Henry Roberts alias Billy the Kid and you are not going to convince me other wise, to try and discredit the man.

Please be honest and straightforward with your comments and if you know someone has posted in error, you either point it out to them respectfully or you ignore it. That's just common decency and respectfulness.

Some people think of their stepparent as just as equal as a “real” parent, and refer to them as such.

I've read an article from the salt lake herald that states BTK received scars from burns at the age of 10 from an accident with acid. If there's any truth in that newspaper article then brushy cannot be BTK.

Your conclusion there I think is questionable, do you know for a fact Brushy did not have scars?
