Wayne, I think the Dedrick hand blows your theory out of the water. Please explain the tiny hand. I enlarged that photo, made a copy of the "tiny hand" and rotated the copy. Then I overlaid it over the other hand. The illusion comes from the fact that you can't really see anything but fingers on the "tiny hand" and the other hand is so blurred you can't really see any detail much. You can see the knuckles of the tiny hand and when the photo is enlarged, you can see the knuckles of the other hand just enough to compare dimensions. The hands are the same size. It is very easy to look at a photo, face, hands or the entire body and just react to what we see. But these "knee jerk" reactions are often incorrect. What I need you to do is to show me where an expert on tintypes says specifically that an ear, a hand, a nose, etc., can appear "larger" or "smaller" than they really are, other than due to blurring of the image. I fear you are interpreting comments made in the article just to try and lend credence to your alleged photos of John Miller, when it is very clear they are not photos of Miller, neither are they photos of Billy. You're going way out in left field on this other stuff just so you can try and come back to defense of those photos. I'm not going to make any more comments on those photos until an expert "does" authenticate them for you.
